Snack bar nacho cheese sauce recipe

Crawfish etouffee



This entree will give you a Jazzy lifestyle! It's perfect when you want to celebrate Mardi Gras! It's so good, & it even has kick to it. As you eat it, it will feel like you are in New Orleans.

prep & cook- 20 minutes


 


Ingredients-

3 squirts Louisiana hot sauce

1 stick of butter

1 white medium onion, chopped

1 garlic clove chopped

1/4 cup all purpose flour

2 tbsp canned diced tomatoes

1 lb crawfish tail meat

6 green onions chopped

salt & pepper to taste

1/2 tsp lemon juice

1 tbsp cajun seasoning

1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper ground

1 cup water

Directions-

  1. Marinate the crawfish meat in a big bag with Louisiana hot sauce.

  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. Add chopped white onions & cook then stir them until transparent.

  4. Stir in Garlic & cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  5. Stir in flour until blended.

  6. Gradually add & stir in the diced tomatoes & add remaining 1 cup water.

  7. Add & stir in green onions & season with salt & pepper. Then add in cayenne, cajun, & lemon juice. Then add in crawfish tails & bring it to a simmer.

  8. Reduce heat to low & simmer until crawfish tails are cooked through but not tough 5 to 10 minutes.
