A burger from the past of the 1950’s diner.

16 to 20 oz ground beef divided into 6

1 Pinch Regular salt

1 Pinch black pepper

1 Shake garlic salt

4 toasted burger buns

Any topping & condiments

4 slices any type of cheese

1 squirt olive oil

1/2 tbsp unsalted butter

servings-1-6

Prep- 6 minutes

Cooking- 10 minutes

Directions-

1. Get your ground beef, & use two hands to shape into a hockey puck. Season them with salt pepper & garlic salt. Place the meat on a plate. Wrap them with plastic wrap.

2. Get your skillet or your griddle on medium heat add squirt of olive oil then butter smear them all over the griddle or skillet & place the hockey puck shape beef on the griddle or skillet separate them then smash your meat by using silver spatula or griddle press. Cook the burgers until they’re not pink anymore even the insides of the meat & make sure they’re well done & brown on both top & bottom of the burger. (Optional- if you want to toast your buns, toast for 30 seconds to a minute, & toast them first before cooking the meat).

3. Pull the burgers off & if you want cheese, place the cheese while the burger is warm & add any toppings that you desire to put on.
